This splendid Victorian coffee pot was made by Elkington & Co in 1849. Just nine years after they patented their electro plating process. At a time when they were showing just what they could do with the new medium. Hence the high quality of this piece.

It is in a baluster form, embossed and chased with floral decoration. It has a reeded double scrolled handle and an elongated garooned spout. This lid in surmounted with a delightful cast rose finial.

It is fully marked to the base with Elkington’s trade mark and date letter.
