Silver plated sauce ladle . Measuring 6½” in length this unusual sauce ladle is adorned with an intriguing collection of symbolism. The terminal has a “crest” featuring a English Rose, a Scottish Thistle and an Irish Shamrock. The bottom of the shaft has a Bee of Industry, whilst the reverse has a Spreading Eagle and a Lion.

There are no maker’s marks or any indication of its origins. It is of a very high quality silver plate, with no signs of use or ware.
