A rare piece of Indian Colonial Silver, made c1820 this Fiddle and Thread pattern sugar sifter measures 18cm in length. It has an intricately pierced bowl and the marks of Hamilton and Company of Calcutta.

It is engraved with the winged spur crest of the Johnston clan, and is in excellent condition, with no damage to the piercing.
