George II silver brandy warming pan. Richard Richardson II Chester 1732

This is a very rare early George II period silver brandy warming pan. Made in Chester in 1732 by Richard Richardson II. Measuring approximately 155mm/ 6" from the tip of the handle to the rim of the bowl and approximately 85mm/3½" at the widest part of the bowl. With a turned wooden handle, a reeded rim and double drop to the spout.

Engraved with a crest of “Pelican in her Piety”

Fully marked with the pre-wheatsheaf Chester hallmark for sterling silver 1732 and the addorsed“ЯR” mark of Richard Richardson II. It is in outstandingly good condition, with no dents or bumps and a fine 300 year old patina.

A rare opportunity for any silver collector to acquire a fine early Chester piece.
